The Mission of New Hope Christian Church is to develop faithful and authentic Christ followers, and to share the good news of God’s redemption through Jesus, in our community and our world.
The Vision of New Hope Christian Church is to win people to salvation in Jesus Christ, to teach them to be His Disciples , and to send them out to serve in the local community and throughout the world for the glory of God.

Leadership Team
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Pastor Roger Browning, Senior Pastor
As the senior pastor, Roger has a passion for carefully unpacking the
truths of Scripture. He is a native of Fluvanna County, but has served at New Hope for 14 years. Roger has ministered all over the U.S. and heads 20/20 Vision Ministries, a ministry of the Word which meets Thursday nights at Cross Life Community Church. Roger is passionate about preaching, writing his weekly devotions, and has a heart for the lost. Roni leads our 08:30 early service on Sunday mornings. Pictured with Roger are his wife Roni and granddaughter Emma.
Stephen Bishop, Lay Leader and Sunday School Superintendent
We would like to welcome our new lay leader and Sunday school superintendent. Stephen was raised in Rawlings, Va., graduated from ODU, and currently serves as an insurance agent for Va. Farm Bureau. We look forward to Stephens leadership and may God bless him in his service. Pictured with Stephen are his wife Brandy and his two daughters Martha Rose and Alice Ann.
